What Happened to 21-Year-Old College Student Chris Jenkins on Halloween Night in 2002?
Welcome to Ontario Cold Cases - Canada’s True Crime Podcast: World Cold Case Thursday’s.
On the fateful Halloween night of October 31, 2002 in Minneapolis, Chris Jenkins, a 21-year-old university student was last seen leaving a bar after being kicked out and walking away into the night.
Four long months passed before any answers would emerge regarding Chris Jenkins' disappearance. In February 2003, the discovery of his lifeless body in the frigid waters of the Mississippi River sent shockwaves through the community.
Initially ruled as an accidental drowning, the case left many questions unanswered. Was it an accident? A robbery gone wrong? Homicide? Or the controversial theory concerning a network of serial killers?

The Clockmaker’s Secret
Reginald Coldham was a man of exacting precision, much like the clocks he meticulously repaired. His shop, Coldham’s Clockworks, was nestled on a quiet street in the quaint village of Marlow, where time seemed to move slower. For years, Reginald’s methodical nature had earned him a reputation as the village’s most reliable—and rather dull—resident.
But underneath his unassuming exterior lay the mind of a man who had meticulously planned a murder.

80-Year-Old Beaten to Death in Innerkip
Ontario Cold Cases - Canada’s True Crime Podcast, new episode available now!
On September 15, 1988, 80-year-old Thera Dieleman got a ride into town to enjoy a day of shopping in Goderich, Ontario. Afterwards, she was dropped off at home and settled in for a relaxing evening.
Thera had been widowed two years prior, so lived alone in her home in Innerkip, Ontario. She was often checked on by family, friends, and neighbours who were eager to give her a hand any chance they could.
The next afternoon Thera’s neighbour called to see how she was doing. Following repeated attempts, he became worried and headed over to her house to make sure everything was okay.
After getting no answer at the door, he entered the home. Just inside the front door, he found Thera dead on the floor.
Thera’s murder is still discussed in Innerkip today. Many residents in the small community knew her and her family well and have hoped for years this cold case can be solved. Perhaps with help from this podcast a new detail may emerge.

The Case of the Crimson Envelope
Ontario Cold Cases - Canada’s True Crime Podcast fictional episode of Whodunnit Wednesday’s.
Go back to the Golden Era of detective fiction and enjoy stories in the tradition of the greats of writing. From Agatha Christie to Raymond Chandler to John Creasey, these are short stories I hope you enjoy.
It was one of those thick San Francisco nights where the fog hung in the air like a cheap suit that didn't quite fit. The kind of night that made a man want to slip into a bar and forget the world with a bottle of bourbon. But there wasn't time for that. Not tonight.
I I was in my office on the third floor of the Sequoia Building, nursing the last of a cigarette when she walked in. Tall, with legs that wouldn't quit, and a face that looked like it had been chiseled out of trouble. Her hair was the color of midnight, and she wore a crimson dress that clung to her like a bad habit. In her gloved hand was an envelope—bright red, like it had been dipped in blood.
And as I began to talk, I knew one thing for certain: I might not come out of this unscathed, but I’d go down fighting, with the truth in my hand and the city at my back. Because in San Francisco, that’s all you’ve got—the truth, and the will to see it through, no matter how dark the night gets.

Ontario Cold Cases – Canada’s True Crime Podcast, Historical True Crime Tuesday’s
Today, we’re taking a journey back to the 1930s to explore one of America’s most gruesome and baffling serial killer cases—the Cleveland Torso Murders.
Between 1934 and 1939, a sadistic killer terrorized Cleveland, Ohio, brutally mutilating and dismembering at least twelve victims.
Despite years of investigations, public hysteria, and even the involvement of one of America’s most famous crime fighters, Eliot Ness of The Untouchables, the case remains unsolved to this day. Who was the so-called “Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run”? Why did he commit these horrific acts? And, perhaps most chillingly, could the killer have escaped justice, only to continue their twisted reign of terror elsewhere?
Today, we’ll dig into the details of this horrifying case, the investigation that followed, and the haunting legacy that remains. So sit tight, and let’s dive into the shadowy world of the Cleveland Torso Murders, and The Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run.
